“ My fondest memories are bookends: My first week spent on an orientation trip with Outward Bound on the Chesapeake Bay, and my last day, graduation day. Walking across that stage and seeing all of my college friends, family members, etc., and how excited they were for me, how proud they were of me. ”
How has Washington College contributed to the person you are?
Washington College taught me the importance of getting involved in my community. While in school, I had the opportunity to be involved in intercollegiate athletics and several student organizations. In my personal/professional life, I still try to find ways to get involved in my surrounding community in a variety of ways.
If you were a Washington College student today, what would you be sure to pursue or take advantage of?
I didn't have an opportunity to study abroad or participate in any of the semester-long programs (Chesapeake Semester) that the college offers today. Both would certainly be something I would pursue.
